Tonight I will be attending Fred Penner in concert. That’s right the same Fred Penner that many of you listened to when you were kids. Fred, as his popularity has faded, is now touring University Campuses and putting on shows at the local watering hole. To be honest I barely remember any Fred Penner songs, but I’m sure after a beverage or two and Fred lights up his guitar it’ll all come rushing back to me.

Watching that video you’ll notice two things. Fred likes beaver (big nasty beaver in fact) and in his time he dressed like a Metrosexual (pink and purple like a penis). Obviously Fred was a man full of sexual aggression that he couldn’t let out as his work was dedicated to kids. Here’s hoping he lets some of that sexual mojo out on all of us. Mostly I want him to replace the log he used to crawl out of with an inflatable slut. Overall I’m not sure what to expect. Is he going to have dancing girls? Will the song “Sandwiches” now be filled with F-bombs? Will Fred be bent over the side of the stage puking because he’s had too many Jager-bombs? All I can say is let’s hope so because I’m not sure I’m ready to sit and have a sing-a-long like back in the day.
