March 30, 2009 will mark the day that Sticky White Rice & Gravy released their first faux album. Debuting on no charts with nearly zero fanfare Mount Rushmore is a crowning achievement in ultimately a useless endeavor. A ten track ensemble which includes a little something for everyone, Mount Rushmore takes you through a typical night for this monster of a karaoke band. Starting out with fan favorites the band builds on the already close relationship that it has with its fans. Soon the booze kicks in and the band turns on their now adoring fans and alienates them with crude and controversial tracks. Finally realizing their misstep the band apologizes with cheesy and loving ballads to round out the selection. With the release of 0 albums and 0 hits songs, Sticky White Rice & Gravy (SWRG) is a band of the future. When or if they will produce anything has yet to be seen, but if they do I am certain that it will be epic - in a 1986 sort of way. Their fire burns with mediocrity and crappy 80’s ballads in such a way that it inspires children to pick up books rather than consider listening to their music. This passion is further compounded by the amount of booze they must consume to perform at any level whatsoever. With that I bring you Sticky White Rice & Gravy!
